Grant Update - Westcroft Judo - Commonwealth Judo Tournament...

Mike Sexton, Matthew Sexton and Ambers Sexton, from the Westcroft Judo Club, represented New Zealand at the Commonwealth Judo Championships held in Birmingham (UK) on 25-29 September 2019. Attached is a picture of Salford Cricket Club's digital scoreboard. A grant of £500 was awarded in November 2017 towards the cost of the new scoreboard. Grant Update - Redhill Bowling Club's New Mower...

Reigate & Banstead District Sports Council recently awarded a grant to Redhill Bowling Club of £400 towards the cost of a new mower for their bowls green. Grant Update - Laura - Running...

Laura recently took part in the National Road relays in Birmingham. Her leg ranked her in the top 25 Senior women individually and helped her team to victory: Their fourth national road title in a row and total 11th in 12 years. Congratulations and keep up the incredible work.... Read More

Grant Update - Liam - Fencing...

Liam travelled to Liberec in the Czech Republic last weekend (6th Oct 2018) for the first European Under 14 fencing competition of the new season. He was up against competitors from the home nation, Germany, Slovenia and Poland. After the preliminary poule stages he had won 9 fights and lost just the 1. Surrey Youth Games - Volunteer of the Year...

Julie Mayo - Netball For the 10th year running Julie, has stepped in to lead netball training sessions for the Surrey Youth Games. Last year she led and mentored a team of six volunteers so that over sixty five girls, none of whom were members of a netball club, could benefit from 1.5 hours a week for 8 weeks of their favourite school sport. Reigate Priory Hockey Club (Runner-up: Sovereign Gymnastics Club) The club and its twenty teams had another highly successful season. It has nine colts league teams across various girls and boys age groups from under 10’s to under 16’s although coaching starts from school year two. The club encourages colts from age 14 to then integrate into adult teams and develop their sport and social skills. Megan Matthews - Livingwell Taekwondo (Runner-Up: Katie Mackison) Megan has been training in taekwondo since she was 6 years old. She has achieved black belt (due to be tested for 2nd dan) and has competed and medalled nationally and represented GB in the national Poomsae (non-contact) team internationally. Her ambition is to teach and make people aware of anyone who has any kind of disability physical or mentally challenged. Chipstead Rugby Football Club 1st Team (Runner-up: YMCA East Surrey Boccia Club - Wildcats A Team) A great team formed largely of ex-club junior players who have stepped up. They were recently promoted from the Surrey II league to Surrey I finishing 5th in the league. They were regional champions in the RFU Junior Vase competition and reached the semi-final of the National RFU Junior Vase, losing to South Molton. Their next game would have been at Twickenham.
